WHITE CUBE[S] PROJECT

A project to break away from the concept of the white cube inaccessible for certain classes of people. What happens if instead of people coming to the white cube, the same reaches to the people? As a community of art practitioners, we emphasized this attachment to the local community. To connect the art with the masses, we planned around 30 artifacts, partly to be executed on-site, across an entire rural landscape in Baghpota, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India adjacent to Khudiram Pally. Our relationship with Baghpota goes as far as thirty years.
