Don't you remember? Back in the day, we imagined to walk together, but couldn't; we imagined to stay together, but couldn't. We cooked food in a mammoth pan, but did not get to eat together. We imagined to travel to the moon, but we couldn't. Yet, here we are, collecting the debris of an unfinished dream, each fragment carrying a memory of what we once believed was possible. We keep gathering these remains to build and rebuild the same dream and fail. It is the road that remains in between these unfinished efforts. Perhaps a utopia neither begins nor ends. As long as we continue to remember, collect, and imagine together, the search remains alive. We still lie under the Royal Poinciana tree (কৃষ্ণচূড়া), which, though a seed of displacement in our lands, chose to make a home in our soil.
